Holiday Series: Winter Stroll
Hello Friend's, Christmas is over but winter isn't, so I decided to create some pretty Winter Themed nails for today. The base blue used is China Glaze's Frostbite (you can see it's swatch HERE). White polish used is OPI Infinite Shine's Non-Stop White (you can see it's swatch HERE). And the beautiful silver glitter used is my recent purchase, OPI's Super Star Status (you can see it's swatch HERE). I love how this winter nail art turned out. I started painting my nails without any plan in my head and this nail art came out as I proceeded painting my nails. I received a lot of compliments on my nails, even from strangers. Hope you all like it as much as others did. Enjoy the last few days of 2015.

Frostbite
I was looking for the perfect shade of Royal Blue and my search ended at China Glaze's Frostbite. So I am sharing its swatch with you all today. One thing you might not know is, I do not buy nail polishes just because they are new in the market or are from so-and-so collection. I buy them because I need a specific shade or certain glitter for a nail art I have in mind. Or of course when I see a shade I like and cannot live without it :) Now coming back to the polish swatch Frostbite is a really bright, in your face, blue, which was exactly what I was looking for. This color is from China Glaze's 2007 Ski Collection so it's definitely an oldie in polish world and possibility is you have seen it around. Since its winter season and the name is so apt for this season, this is the best time to post my polish swatch. The formula though is very thin, it is easy to work it with as well. For the pictures below I had to put 3 coats on nail polish.

Hello Friend's, Christmas is this Friday and I decided to create some 3D Christmas Nail art. Earlier this year, I won a contest from BornPrettyStore and got these beautiful Christmas Charms and some other goodies as the winning prize. It was time to make use of them ;) and here is the result. If you absolutely cannot live without these charms in your life, you can buy them HERE at BornPrettyStore's website for only $1.25 USD. And since I love you all so much, you can get a 10% OFF your purchase by using a special coupon code QANX31 at checkout. The base Red polish I used for these nails is Dior's Rouge. So here are my Santa Clause nails for the Christmas. Scroll all the way down to view a detailed video on how to create these nails.

OPI Starlight Collection
Hello friend's, today the nail polishes I am reviewing are from OPI Starlight Holiday 2015 Collection. I got 2 glitter polishes from this collection and here are there swatches.
The first polish is called Super Star Status. I have been lookout for a silver glitter polish for ages and Super Star Status is answer to my prayers. This is not a regular glitter polish. Regular glitter polishes, on a stroke of application, leave only few glitters. This one is overloaded with glitter and I like that. A LOT. Just a single coat is enough to get all that glitter on your nails. For the pictures below I used one coat of the polish and no top coat, to show its liquid sand like texture. It contains silver as well as some gold glitter, the picture below captured more gold tones.
The second polish is called Ce-less-tial Is More. This is a rose gold-ish glitter polish. This has a bit of a silver tone to it as well. The formula, like Super Star Status is good, its easy to get opaque on its own. I used 2 coats and NO top coat for the pictures below. If you want this smooth you'll probably need a top coat, as this one too has liquid sand like texture to it. Apart from rose gold, this polish as multi-color glitter as well which become visible in the light.
After applying these polishes if you are having a hard time removing them, then you can read THIS blog post by me on how to remove glitter polishes easily. Hope you like the swatches.

Non-Stop White
Today I am taking a break from the Holiday nail art posts and doing a swatch instead. The polish is OPI Infinite Shine's Non-Stop White. This is my third OPI Infinite Shine polish. You can see the two previous OPI Infinite Shine polishes that I have bought and reviewed, HERE and HERE. OPI Infinite Shine, as I have mentioned before is a collection of nail polishes which are 5-Free (Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor) and gives you gel-like shine that lasts longer than regular polishes.
I was out of my 3rd bottle of Butter London's Cotton Buds which was my goto white polish and was looking for a new White 5-FREE polish when I spotted this pretty all white Non-Stop White shade at a store and decided to go with it. I love this shade, I have already used it in couple of nail art designs and it gives perfect opaque nails after 2 coast of polish. It's not too thick and I like that about it. The application ends with a creamy finish which is glossy and smooth. I use a lot and I mean a LOT of white polish on my nails for nail art (as you can tell) and I am really looking forward to see how this polish ends up being by the time I reach at the end of the bottle (most polishes become thick even before you can finish the bottle). Although it is on the pricey side but if you’re looking for a white nail polish that you won’t have to fight with to use, this one is the one to invest in.
Also this is my 400th POST on the Blog! Just in case you missed it ;)

Holiday Series: Candy Canes
Hello all you lovely people out there. Today's nail art is inspired by Candy Canes. I created this nail art when I was traveling and wasnt at home. The base is Jade is the new Black on top of it using OPI's My boyfriend scales the wall, I created candy canes using tooth picks and added red lines on the candy canes using OPI's The Spy who loved me. To see my previous candy cane nails click HERE and HERE.

Book Review: The Girl on the Train
Hello Friend's, today's review is the New York Times Bestseller The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. The book has been so popular among the readers that after 250 holds in library and a long wait I could get my hands on it only few weeks ago. I was really excited to read the book and expected it to be an "un-put-down-able" thriller but all that fell flat after I started reading the book and was into few chapters. First and foremost the main character of the story Rachel is made so pathetic and unreliable that I lost half the interest right there (If you have read my previous reviews, you would know, strong, independent women are my kinda heroines).
The story proceeds with a "missing person" plot and no its not Rachel that goes missing, she is not even remotely related to the whole drama but decides to meddle in it anyways because yes, she is that pathetic and has nothing better to do with her life. Two other female characters are added in the book Anna and Megan. Megan is the one with intriguing character but that's where it ends and has nothing more to offer to the story. After the introduction of all the characters the story proceeds into a suspense novel. I did become quite interested in the mystery. I wanted to know what happened to Megan and why. I also wanted to see if Rachel would ever grow a backbone and get herself together. I didn't foresee the changes happening in the climax so that was a plus point. Anyway, my final rating for The Girl on the Train is 2/5, in-spite of the rave reviews it got from other readers.

Holiday Series: Feeling Christmas-yyyy
Hello Friends, today’s nail art is very Christmas-y and is inspired from the very talented @sveta_sanders (Instagram). I wanted to create this nail art for a long time and what better time than the Holidays to create these beautiful RED nails. The polishes I used to create this masterpiece are OPI’s – My Boyfriend Scales the Walls and The spy who loved me. Pretty isn’t it?
To create this nail art I started by painting my nails with white polish, when it was dry, I added some chevron tape from BornPrettyStore on it(Product Code #23383) and painted the red polish on top of it. Then immediately I took out the chevron tape and added red and white dots around the chevron white design.
