Chinese New Year
It's Chinese New Year today and every year I think of creating Chinese nail art for this occasion but either I forget or don't have enough time on my hands. But this year I was determined to create a Chinese themed nail art for this occasion.
Those of you don't know Chinese New Year is based on Lunar calendar and is also known as the "Spring Festival" in mainland China. The Chinese Zodiac, known as Sheng Xiao, is based on a twelve-year cycle and each year in that cycle is related to an animal sign. Year 2017 is the year of a rooster. Red symbolizes good fortune and joy in Chinese culture and it is found everywhere during the Chinese New Year combined with shades of Gold, so I created this red and gold nail art for this occasion. In case you are wondering what that sign means on my little finger, it is the symbol of Luck in Chinese.
In Chinese culture, the red lantern is the symbol of booming life and prosperous business, so they are always hung on important festivals such as Lantern Festival and Chinese New Year. Hence I created the lantern on my middle finger, hanging from a blooming tree. Hope you all enjoyed all these fun facts surrounding Chinese culture and New Year, and will love this nail art as much as I do.
Happy Chinese New Year Everyone.

Indian Republic Day
Today is Indian’s 68th Republic Day and on this occasion I am sharing with you all a nail art inspired by Indian Flag colors. In India, Republic Day honors the date on which the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950. Since India's national bird is Peacock, I wanted to create something depicting it using the National Flag colors. I did this nail art free-hand and used all polishes - Zoya's Purity, Michael Kor's Passion, Sinfulcolor's Innocent, Cupcake polish Little Butterfly and Ulta's Moody Blue.
Check out some other nail designs inspired by Indian Flag- HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.

Winter Glam
Sharing some winter glam nail art with you all. I used Cupcake Polish's What in Carnation? as the base blue, on that I free-handed OPI's Super Star Status. Then using a dotting tool I added black and white dots on the top. Hope you all like this winter glam look. Enjoy!!!

Animal Print Nails
I love creating animal print nails and this time I wanted to mix and match some metallic polishes to create one. So I free-handed this design using OPI DS Glow, Zoya's Ziv, Butter London's Cotton Buds and Formula X's Dark Matter.

Lakme Manish Malhotra
Hello Lovelies, today I am sharing with you all swatch of Lakme polish 417 by Manish Malhotra. Manish Malhotra is a very famous Indian fashion designer. You can see my previous Lakme swatches HERE. Lakme 417 is a deep burgundy/deep red shade. It becomes opaque in 2 coats and that's what I used for the pictures below. I am not happy with Lakme polish bottle caps. Of all the bottles I have used, every single one of them gets jam-ed very easily and every time I go back to use it I have to put the bottle in warm water in order to open the bottle again. This shade also left some red stains on my nails which I wasn't too happy about. Anyways it was a good experiment to buy this polish and special Thanks to my sisters who bought this for me all the way from India on a very short notice :)

Icy Floral
Icy Floral - is the word that comes to my mind when I look at this design. For the base I used the beautiful holographic Sweet & Serene from Painted Polish. You can see it's swatch HERE. On top of it using Formula X's Dainty and a dotting tool, I created the floral nails. Hope you all like this icy winter floral nails.

Fire Nails
Something about this nail art reminds me of fire, hence the title fire nails. I created these nails free-hand using a thin nail art brush with Zoya polishes Purity, Willa, Darcy and Thandie. See my other nail art using the exact same polishes HERE. Also I created the same nail design with different shades before, check it out HERE.
