Fun Lacquer Magnetic Polishes

Hello Lovelies. Today I am reviewing 2 magnetic multi chrome polishes from F.U.N Lacquers. These polishes are from their 4th anniversary collection. For those of you don't know F.U.N Lacquer standd for Fabulously Unique Nail Lacquer. I wasn't provided these polishes for review but I bought them when they went on resale. I got 2 polishes from this collection Harmony and Incredible. All F.U.N Lacquers are 5-FREE! They do not contain Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor and it is cruelty FREE. Which makes it so worthwhile to purchase these polishes. I bought them from F.U.N Lacquers website for $14 each and received them in 9 days which was very impressive.

Both the polishes are magnetic polishes and require a magnetic tool to create and generate magnetic designs on the polishes. So I used a magnet pen tool from BornPrettyStore which WAS provided to me for review :) This magnetic pen tool is really light weight and easy to use. It can be purchased from Born Pretty Store by clicking HERE for $1.49, product code #32407. This is a really useful tool if you like magnetic polishes and highly recommend buying it.

Now lets talk about the nail polishes. The first one is called Harmony. Harmony is a multi-chrome magnetic polish that shifts the colors from copper to gold to green. I used 2 coats of polish on clear base coat here and then used the magnetic tool from Born Pretty Store to create the diagonal lines for the magnetic pattern. This is a thick formula and using a third coat makes it really lumpy. This is my favorite among the two polishes as the color shift is really visible that even strangers commented on it. It is also easy to photograph.

The second polish is called Incredible and this is a multi-chrome magnetic polish that shifts the colors from maroon to gold to green. But I felt that I really really had to look and catch that color shift happen on my nails and it was even harder to capture it on the camera. This is also a very thick formula so I used 2 coats for the pictures. I used the magnetic tool to free hand some swirls on this one. Next time I would like to use a black coat for the nail art I create with these polishes. I tried it on one nail with Harmony and the effect was darker and different.

Hope you all liked my first swatch and first product review of 2018. There are many more coming so keep watching this space for more :)

  4. I haven't got any FUN-polishes myself. I looked at some of the first ones that came out but reviews said they were pretty sheer. It looks like they fixed that issue now :)

    1. They are anything but sheer now. I find their formulas very thick with each polish.
