Holo Chevron Nails

Hello Peeps, today is Chevron nail art day :) This design is inspired from @sveta_sanders. I saw her tutorial & knew I had to create this nail art right away with my new Island Girl Holographic Grey Polish (see it's swatch HERE). Other polishes used are OPI's Non-Stop White, Formula X's Dark Matter and Zoya's Darcy. I guess by now you all know how much I love matching my jewelry with my nail art. What do you think of my matching bracelet below? To see matching rings to my nail art click HERE.

Island Girl Polishes

Hello Lovely People. As you all know I was on vacationing in Hawaii last month and while I was shopping at ABC Stores in Hawaii, I came across these Island Girl polishes. Priced at $2.99 a piece, I went "Whaaaaaa..." and couldn't decide what I wanted to buy. So finally I had it down to 6 nailpolishes and 1 cuticle oil (which was too cute a bottle to leave behind). So here is my swatches and review of the polishes that I bought

The Island Girl polishes are priced at $2.99, so I wasn't expecting much of them, but to my surprise they turned out pretty well. The formula is easy to apply for all the polishes and lasts 4-5 days without chipping. I have even tried some nail art with these polishes which has lasted even longer.

I was lucky enough to find some holographic shades(I am a sucker for Holographic Polishes) in this polish brand. This one has no name only a number 1807A and is a lovely Grey holo polish. You will soon see me using this as part of a nail art.

The other holo polish I found is a lovely Blue shade which goes by the number 1804A. It looks so beautiful in the sunlight and I can't stop staring at it.

The third polish is a lovely dove grey shade with again no name but a number 1518. I love this formula, very smooth and easy to apply. I got the below results in just 2 coats.

Next is a beautiful ice pink shade called TROPICAL GIRL(M1806). I really like how it looks both inside and outside in sunlight (pic 2 below).

The fifth polish is a maroon-ish pink shade called TROPICAL DREAM(M1801). This formula is easy to apply but it isn't a soft polish - meaning it has a rough feel to it.

Last is a pretty soft pink shade called BIG ISLAND MAGIC(P1201). This is my least favorite one. Though the color is beautiful, the formula is really really bad. I applied 3 coats for the below pic and it still was not fully opaque as you can see.

Of course, I had to share the pretty cuticle oil bottle pic too.
