Tape Mani

Hi all, today I have a colorblocked tape mani for you all, which I did last year but forgot to post it. This nail art, as you can see, is inspired from my jewelry. I used different polishes to create this one like Zoya's Ziv, Revlon's Plum Seduction, Michael Kors Passion, Kendra Scott's Peach Coral, Dior's Rouge.

Beauty Big Bang - Shimmer Tape Review

Hello Everyone. Today I am sharing review of another product from Beauty Big Bang. This is a pretty stripes shimmer nails tape.

These shimmery tape come in a zip sealed bag for protection. This tape is made of glitter and is so elegant. This comes in lots of beautiful colors but I choose the multicolored one, product code - SKU: J1478-MC. This tape is really easy to use and can be applied on the mails in many different ways. I used a plain white base to showcase these glittery, colorful, shimmery tape on my nails. Fall Nails

Fall is in the air and I decided to create these cute fall design. Polishes I used are Formula X's Dark Matter and Dainty, Sally Hansen's Wet Cement and Zoya's Darcy.

Green and Yellow

Hello July! Summer is at it's peak and so I decided to create this summery nail design with some lemon and lime colors. I used different polishes for variations of both the shades. Hope you all like this design. Have a great long weekend everyone.

Silver Teal

Hello Lovelies, today’s nail art is something I did as part of a #maniswap with my good friend and colleague Christine Hale. Christine is a great nail artist who does amazing stamping designs and if you read my previous post you would know how we do all nail polish related things together ;) To see the maniswap click HERE. She recreated THIS nail art of mine, by using stamping and I recreated her stamping design, free-hand.

As far as my nail art, I used all Sally Hansen polishes to create it. The base is Sally Hansen Color Foil polish called Sterling Silver. You can see its swatch HERE. The Beautiful Teal Blue is from Sally Hansen’s Velvet Texture collection called Plush. The stripes I created using a stripping tape and sealed the design with a Top Coat. Tutorial: Cinco De Mayo Nails

Hi Friends, I created a step-by-step tutorial for you all for the colorful Cinco De Mayo nail art from my last post.

For this nail art you would need -
1. Nail Polishes.
2. Stripping Tape.
3. Top Coat.
4. Base Coat.
5. Scissors.
6. Dotting Tool.
7. Thin Nail Art Brush.


Step 1. To start, first paint your nails with a base coat to protect your nails.

Step 2. When the base coat is dry, on top of it paint your nails with a base polish. I used Formula X's Dainty White polish. Make sure you polish dries completely, before you attempt step 3.

Step 3. Cut the stripping tape using scissors into multiple stripes and stick them on the nail as shown in the picture below. Make sure they are sticking to the nail and are not loose.

Step 4. Color the red and green blocks as shown below. I used Dior's Rouge for Red and Revlon's Emerald City for Green.

Step 5. Now slowly remove the tape around green and red blocks.

Step 6. In between the remaining tape block, create red chevron or zig-zag pattern using a thing nail art brush.

Step 7. Fill red on one side of chevron and on the top of the nail add yellow nail polish. I used Zoya's Darcy for yellow.

Step 8. Remove all the remaining tape.

Step 9. Add green dots near the chevron design as shown below.

Step 10. Seal the design with your favorite top coat. I used Formula X's top coat.

Tutorial: Matte Colorblock Nails

Hi Friends, I created a step-by-step tutorial for you all for the Matte colorblock nail art from my last post.

For this nail art you would need -
1. Nail Polishes.
2. Stripping Tape.
3. Top Coat.
4. Base Coat.
5. Scissors.

Step 1. To start, first paint your nails with a base coat to protect your nails.

Step 2. When the base coat is dry, on top of it paint your nails with a base polish. I used Maybelline's Naturally Creme. Make sure you polish dries completely, before you attempt step 3.

Step 3. Cut the stripping tape using scissors into two stripes and stick them on the nail side by side (as shown in the picture below). Make sure they are sticking to the nail and are not loose.

Step 4. On the wide block of the taped nail, paint with the bright nail polish. I used American Apparel's Blueberry.

Step 5. On the middle thin block of the taped nail, paint it with the blue nail polish. I used American Apparel's Peacock.

Step 6. Now quickly remove the tape and voila! the desired colorblocked nails. Now top it with Matte top coat for Matte version of the nails or with a regular top coat for glossy version of the nails.

Matte

Matte nails have been popular for a while. To create them you dont need a bunch of Matte polishes, just the right Matte top coat. So today, using my Matte top coat from Butter London, I turned my glossy nails to matte nails. The polishes I used are - base coat is Maybelline's Naturally Creme, American Apparel's Peacock and Blueberry.

Checkered

I am constantly amazed by the color PINK and it's shades. I own a number of different PINK polishes from different brands and keep using them one way or the other. When I thought of this design, I couldn't have chosen any other color and shades to complete it with. Different polishes used here are - Zoya's Lolly, Revlon's Plum Seduction, OPI's Mod about You, Butter London's Fruit Machine and Jenna Hipp's Pinky Promise.

When I am out of ideas I usually start looking at my favorite nail art bloggers for inspirations and today’s nail art is another such inspiration from the very talented Sarah of Chalkboard Nails. I loved this harlequin-inspired fab nail art from her so much that, I had to recreate it with my own mix of colors. Check out her design here.

Coach Inspired

Hello Friend's. Today I am sharing with you all my nail art inspired by my Coach Peyton multi-stripe wallet. I bought it earlier this year and love the colorful stripes in it. So I decided to recreate them on my nails. Below is a picture of my nails with my wallet. Hope you like them.
