Chineglaze | IDK

Hi All! Today I have swatch of Chinaglaze IDK which is a holographic polish. It's part of their flashback collection from last year. IDK is a medium purple linear holographic polish. I used three coats of polish here and no top coat. Since its been overcast weather lately, where I live, I used indoor lighting for the pictures below.

Christmas Foliage

Hi friends, today I am sharing my free-hand Christmas Foliage nails design which I really really liked how it turned out. I used unusual Christmas shades and decided to go with blues and pinks for this design.

The polishes that I used are Zoya's Sia as the blue base. Then added freehand design with Marc Jacob's Shocking, China Glaze's OMG A UFO (a holographic polish) and Zoya's Ziv.

Squares

Hello Friend's, Today's nail art is geometric squares which I did free-hand using a nail art brush. The polishes I used are China Glaze's Frostbite (You can see it's swatch HERE). Formula X's Dark Matter and OPI's Infinite Shine Non-Stop White.

Frostbite

I was looking for the perfect shade of Royal Blue and my search ended at China Glaze's Frostbite. So I am sharing its swatch with you all today. One thing you might not know is, I do not buy nail polishes just because they are new in the market or are from so-and-so collection. I buy them because I need a specific shade or certain glitter for a nail art I have in mind. Or of course when I see a shade I like and cannot live without it :) Now coming back to the polish swatch Frostbite is a really bright, in your face, blue, which was exactly what I was looking for. This color is from China Glaze's 2007 Ski Collection so it's definitely an oldie in polish world and possibility is you have seen it around. Since its winter season and the name is so apt for this season, this is the best time to post my polish swatch. The formula though is very thin, it is easy to work it with as well. For the pictures below I had to put 3 coats on nail polish.

Holographic Tribal

Whirled Away

China Glaze's Cirque du Soleil collection - you must remember me talking about this collection a while ago. This collection apart from regular polishes, had three very different glitter polishes, and I am fortunate enough to own all three of them. The first one you have seen here already.

Today I am sharing with you the second one called Whirled Away. This polish has a clear base and includes black bar glitter, black hex glitter and large white hex glitter. I swatched it on top of Zoya's Lolly so you can see how pretty this black and white glitter looks with pink. I liked this formula and it was easy to apply.

Doesn't it look pretty with pink? :)

Halloween Series: Halloween Glitter

Last year in Nov 2012, China Glaze came out with an amazing collection of polishes called Cirque du Soleil collection (inspired by the move). The glitter polishes in this collection was what caught my attention and I ended up buying all the glitter ones from Cirque du Soleil.

Last year for Halloween Orly came out with polish called R.I.P. which was an awesome black and orange glitter polish. I wanted to buy it very badly but somehow couldn't get my hands on one. So when I saw "Get Carried Away" black and orange glitter polish from Cirque du Soleil collection I immediately thought of Orly' R.I.P and hence of Halloween.

Get Carried Away is a thick sheer base glitter polish. Because of its sheer base you can't wear it by itself and have to put a base coat which would accentuate the glitter better. So here are pictures of China Glaze's "Get Carried Away" over Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri "Presto Pewter" Nail Color. I didnt use black as the base coat because using black hides all the black bar glitter in the polish.

I think this glitter polish is a simple and easy way to decorate your nails for Halloween.
