Pink Cloud Nail Art

Sharing with you all, a cloud mani from the archieves. When I dont have much time and lack of nail art tools (which is usually when I am traveling) I recreate this nail art with different colors each time. You can see my previous cloud mani nail art's here, here and here. The polishes that I have used for this nail art are - Revlon's Cupid and Plum Seduction and Sally Hansen's Sun Kissed.

Silver Teal

Hello Lovelies, today’s nail art is something I did as part of a #maniswap with my good friend and colleague Christine Hale. Christine is a great nail artist who does amazing stamping designs and if you read my previous post you would know how we do all nail polish related things together ;) To see the maniswap click HERE. She recreated THIS nail art of mine, by using stamping and I recreated her stamping design, free-hand.

As far as my nail art, I used all Sally Hansen polishes to create it. The base is Sally Hansen Color Foil polish called Sterling Silver. You can see its swatch HERE. The Beautiful Teal Blue is from Sally Hansen’s Velvet Texture collection called Plush. The stripes I created using a stripping tape and sealed the design with a Top Coat. Argyle

Argyle Pattern is very very common in USA. From sweaters to Bedspreads, you can find it on a lot of things. I have been meaning to try this on my nails and decided to give it a try finally. This is the color palette that I decided to use. Sally Hansen's Wet Cement and Blue Me Away, Butter London's Cotton Buds. I love how this turned out, I used a very very thin nail art brush for this pattern. Hope you all like it as well.

Blue Dots

Hi all, today's nail art is another one of my inspiration nails. This one is inspired from The Beauty Department. It's a very very simple nail art done using dotting tool. The polishes that I have used are all Sally Hansen polishes - Celeb City, Gray by Gray and Pedal to the Metal.

To start with I added two coats of Sally Hansen's Gray by Gray. When it was dry I added different sized dots using Celeb City and Pedal to the Metal. The outcome looks really good. The best part was I got these two polishes - Gray by Gray and Pedal to the Metal for 89 cents on sale. Amazing price isn't it?

Festival Nailart: Karva Chauth 2014

Hello Friends, sharing today an old nail art from my archives. Today is the festival of Karva Chauth in India and on this day, married women fast all day for their husband's long life and prosperity. The fast is started in the morning, before sunrise and broken only when women spot moon in the sky, at night. I wore this nail art back in 2012 for the same festival, hence you see all the henna and Indian jewelry in the picture. I really liked how I had paired different bangles from my collection that day to match my outfit and couldn't resist sharing a picture of them as well. The polishes used here are Sally Hansen's Blue Me Away, Maybelline's Onyx Rush and Sinfulcolor's Snow Me White. Hope you all like is nail art from my archives.

Modern Ruffles

Hi All, today I am sharing with you all a unique one of a kind design. I would like to call this Modern Ruffle nails. This design is very easy to do and you don’t need any special nail art tools for it. All I used was the brushes that came with the polish. The polishes that I used are, Butter London’s Cotton Buds and Jaded Jack, Sally Hansen’s Wet Cement and Pesto Presto, Wet –n-Wild’s I need a Refresh Mint. I will post a tutorial on how to achieve this look. Hope you all love it.

200th BLOG POST

Hello friends, today's nail art is my 200th POST ON THE BLOG. That's right, its 200th. Cannot believe I completed 200 Blog posts here. I just realized it yesterday and could not wait to share this pretty but floral nail art with you all to celebrate it.

I have done a number of Floral nail art designs but what’s unique, is the color combination that I have used here. The blue is Sally Hansen’s Gray by Gray, orange is OPI’s On the same Paige and Yellow is Zoya’s Darcy.

Tutorial: Wave Pattern

Hi All, Since you all loved the wave pattern from yesterday so much, I decided to post a tutorial in pictures on how to do it. It is very simple.

For this nail art you would need -
1. Nail Polishes.
2. A thin nail art brush.
3. Top Coat.
4. Base Coat.


Step 1. To start, first paint your nails with a base coat to protect your nails and when its dry on top of it paint your nails with a base coat. I used Sally Hansen's Hard To Get. Make sure you polish dries completely, before you attempt Step 2.

Step 2. Now using a nail art brush, start painting wavy design on one side of the nail using the first color polish. For light blue I used Wet n Wild's I need a refresh-mint.

Step 3. Then using the second color, make a similar wavy pattern. For dark blue I used Sally Hansen's Blue Me Away.

Step 4. Without waiting for a long time, carefully paint another wavy pattern using the third color this time. Since I wanted blue-green combo, I used Sally Hansen's Green with Envy. If your nail is very wide, then start over with the first color and add more wavy patterns till the whole nail is covered.

Step 5. Once all the nail art is dry, seal it with your favorite top coat. That's it, easy peasy, isn't it.

Wave Pattern

The following nail design for lack of better title, I am calling them as the wave pattern nails. This design was really easy to do and I will soon post a pictorial on how to do them. The polishes that I used are Sally Hansen's Hard To Get, Blue Me Away and Green with Envy. The lighter blue shade is Wet n Wild's I need a refresh-mint.

Blue n Green

Lately I am not getting a lot of great nail art ideas and that's why I am settling for simple yet cute nail art designs. Not much creativity going on here but use of right color combos and outcome isn't bad.

So here is another simple and quick nail art. To start with I pained half the nail with Wet n Wild's I need a Refresh-mint and other half with Sally Hansen's Green with Envy. After that in the space between the two colors, I added different sized dots using a dotting tool with Sally Hansen's Hard To Get. And then sealed it all with my favorite top coat. That's it.

Sterling Silver

Sally Hansen recently came out with chrome polishes called COLOR FOIL. This collection includes different metallic chrome polishes and I decided to try out their silver polish. It is called Sterling Silver. It is as the name suggest a metallic silver polish in which the strokes by which the polish was applied are clearly visible. This doesn't bother me as I love metallic polishes. The pictures below are my swatches of this polish from yesterday without a topcoat.

Blue Flowers

Remember this design with which I started the new year. I decided to recreate it with Blue shades this time instead of orange and red.

The Polishes that I used here are - Sally Hansen's Hard to Get and Blue Me Away, Wet n Wild's A need a refresh-mint. You can see the previous similar design here.

Watermarble

Can you believe it, I have been into nail art for almost two years now and haven't tried watermarble nail art technique until recently. So here is my first attempt with watermarble nail art technique.

The polishes that I have used are all Sally Hansen polishes - White is Hard to Get, Yellow is Mellow Yellow, Blue is Blue Me Away and Grey is Wet Cement.
