Del Sol - Color Changing Nail Polish

Hello All. Today I have swatch of something very unique. It's a color changing nail polish from the brand DEL SOL. Del sol is a brand that sells merchandise that changes color when you go out in the sun. On my recent trip to Alaska, I discovered this brand and decided to get one of their nail polishes to try and post its swatch with a review for all my readers.

This one is called Future's So Bright. It changes from light orange indoor to a darker shade outdoor.

Born Pretty Store | New Products

Hello All ! As you know I often do collaborations with Born Pretty Store (BPS) to bring new and cool nail and beauty products for you all. BPS have a new line of products launching on June 6th, 2018 and I was sent 2 new products in their new packaging for review. The 2 products are a magnetic nail polish and a cuticle oil. So let's look into them.

Nail Polish
The nail polish I have here is a magnetic polish. It's from the 3D Magnetic Aurora Series and is called Greenland Night, Product Code: BP-MA04. This is a dark purple polish with a glittery purple magnetic effect. I used a black polish as the base. I added 2 coats of the magnetic polish, then I used magnetic pen tool, also from Born Pretty Store, to create the magnetic effect. You can purchase this magnetic tool from Born Pretty Store by clicking HERE for $1.49, product code #32407. This polish will be available on June 6th, 2018 for purchase on Born Pretty Store site. Click HERE to see this polish and others from this collection, available for $5.39. Also use my code QANX31 for 10% OFF your purchase.

This polish comes in a cute new packaging (as shown below). I really like the cute peacock feathers they have used on their packages and bottles, as I personally like everything peacock.

Cuticle Oil
Now coming to the other product that I received in the package - cuticle oil. This cuticle oil is a peach cuticle oil and has amazing smell.

This too comes in a cute package of it's own and has a peach on the cover.

The cuticle oil comes with a brush on the tip of the bottle and a adjuster on the bottom of it. This adjuster makes the cuticle oil comes out on the brush, which makes the use of bottle really really easy. You can get this cuticle oil (product code 39329) and other scents from this collection, by clicking HERE for $2.99.

Born Pretty Store ships worldwide. Do check out their website HERE, if you haven't already. You can get 10% OFF your entire purchase by using my coupon code QANX31. Fun Lacquer Magnetic Polishes

Hello Lovelies. Today I am reviewing 2 magnetic multi chrome polishes from F.U.N Lacquers. These polishes are from their 4th anniversary collection. For those of you don't know F.U.N Lacquer standd for Fabulously Unique Nail Lacquer. I wasn't provided these polishes for review but I bought them when they went on resale. I got 2 polishes from this collection Harmony and Incredible. All F.U.N Lacquers are 5-FREE! They do not contain Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor and it is cruelty FREE. Which makes it so worthwhile to purchase these polishes. I bought them from F.U.N Lacquers website for $14 each and received them in 9 days which was very impressive.

Both the polishes are magnetic polishes and require a magnetic tool to create and generate magnetic designs on the polishes. So I used a magnet pen tool from BornPrettyStore which WAS provided to me for review :) This magnetic pen tool is really light weight and easy to use. It can be purchased from Born Pretty Store by clicking HERE for $1.49, product code #32407. This is a really useful tool if you like magnetic polishes and highly recommend buying it.

Now lets talk about the nail polishes. The first one is called Harmony. Harmony is a multi-chrome magnetic polish that shifts the colors from copper to gold to green. I used 2 coats of polish on clear base coat here and then used the magnetic tool from Born Pretty Store to create the diagonal lines for the magnetic pattern. This is a thick formula and using a third coat makes it really lumpy. This is my favorite among the two polishes as the color shift is really visible that even strangers commented on it. It is also easy to photograph.

The second polish is called Incredible and this is a multi-chrome magnetic polish that shifts the colors from maroon to gold to green. But I felt that I really really had to look and catch that color shift happen on my nails and it was even harder to capture it on the camera. This is also a very thick formula so I used 2 coats for the pictures. I used the magnetic tool to free hand some swirls on this one. Next time I would like to use a black coat for the nail art I create with these polishes. I tried it on one nail with Harmony and the effect was darker and different.

Hope you all liked my first swatch and first product review of 2018. There are many more coming so keep watching this space for more :)

Product Review: Born Pretty Store Thermal Color Changing Polish

Today I am sharing the third polish from my Born Pretty Store package. This one is a Thermal Color Changing Polish #6 a beautiful dark purple shade.

Thermal Nail Polish Temperature Color Changing Polish #6 starts as a deep cool toned purple when cold and transitions to a light taupey grey. The formula was thick but easy to apply. It dries to a smooth finish and I liked it as is so didnt apply a top coat. This would be a great gift for any girl excited about ombre nail art and looking for an easy gradient look.

If you would like to purchase this polish, you can by clicking HERE, product code 25177. This polish retails at $4.99 but you can get a cool 10% OFF your whole order by using coupon code QANX31, especially for my readers. Check out the Born Pretty Store website for lots of trendy nail art supplies.

Blue-Jeaned

Hello Friends, today I am swatching this amazing Essence polish called Blue-Jeaned which is a Sugar effect nail polish. The polish resembles the everyday dark denims and I love it. Two coats are enough to give a good coverage and gives a good jeans look. It’s a texture polish with silver glitters which make it more eye-catchy. Definitely a keeper in my collection

Magnetic Polish

Magnetic Polishes are not new and if you are really into polishes then you must have seen them in the store's since 2012. I was talking to someone recently and they started to admire my nails, on which I was wearing the Magnetic Polish. They had no idea what it was and had lots of questions about how to apply them. So this post is for those of you who are not aware of what Magnetic Polishes are and how to apply them.

As I mentioned above Magnetic Polishes have been around for almost two years now and now every possible nail polish brand has there own line of them. I got mine back in 2012 from Nails Inc. It is a pretty shade of purple called "Houses of Parliament". Every magnetic polish comes with a magnet on the polish bottle which creates the magnetic pattern and each bottle usually has a different pattern with them. So if you buy one magnetic polish, you can create only one pattern with it.

TIP: You can always try using the magnet in different directions so that the pattern comes out looking different each time.

Now on how to get the magnetic polish and get the magnetic effect-
Apply your usual base coat and let it dry. Working one nail at a time, apply a coat of magnetic polish till its opaque and then immediately hold the magnet over the nail. Hold the magnet completely still for at least 10 seconds. You will see the desired magnetic design forming on your nails. Continue this process on all ten nails. Wait a few minutes for the magnetic design to set before applying topcoat.

These look so lovely that someone asked me, if it is the scaled gradient technique I used to create this nail art? :) Definitely must try.
