April Showers Bring May Flowers

Hi all, I had the opportunity to visit the very popular Spring destination spot - The Carlsbad Flower Fields. Flower Fields is located in Carlsbad and is 50 acres of rows and rows of colorful flowers (mostly Ranunculus), which bloom in Spring every year and is a site to behold.

When it was decided that we would be visiting it, I decided to paint my nails in colorful flowers, just like the Flower Fields (scroll all the way below to see the fields). I used Zoya's Chantal as the neutral base here and using various shades of nail polishes I freehanded the florals.

Travelogue: Big Sur, California

So my first post on travel received a lot of praise. Everyone loved hearing about my vacation and enjoyed the pictures so much that I decided to create another travel related post on my blog. A little distraction from my nails. You can see my previous and first post in the Travelogue series here.

This time the destination is Big Sur in Central California. I have lived in California for almost 2 years now and have never been to Big Sur before. I have heard about its beauty and scenic drive along the coast so much that I decided it will be our next destination for travel.

I cannot even being to describe how beautiful Big Sur is. The scenic drive along on California State Route 1 along the Pacific Coast is breathtaking. Beautiful spots and turnouts for pictures gives you ample photo opportunity. The name "Big Sur" is derived from the original Spanish-language "el sur grande", meaning "the big south", or from "el país grande del sur", "the big country of the south". Enough talking already? Travelogue: Alaska...The Last Frontier

For those of you who know me very well, know how much I love to travel and visit new places. I have covered the whole West Coast of USA and the last state which was remaining was ALASKA which I traveled to recently. One thing which I did not realize before I visited Alaska was, how beautiful the state really is. The views are breathtaking, the glaciers are pristine and the wildlife is in abundance. If you are thinking of your next destination for vacation, I would definitely recommend visiting Alaska.
