Neon Dots

This Summer neon colors have been the top trend. They are all around us and of course they in nail lacquers too. If you have been confused about how to incorporate neon into your life without looking too crazy, nail polishes is definitely the way to go about it.
So today's nail art is inspired by this trend and has simple neon dots, over silver polish. Nothing too crazy, just the right amount of neon.
The polishes used here are:
Silver: Sally Hansen's Celeb City
Neon Green: Jordana's pop art
Neon Pink: SinfulColors Professional's Fusion Neon
Neon Orange: SinfulColors Professional's Summer Peach
Neon Yellow: Claire's Sunshine
Blue: Sally Hansen's Blue Me Away!

Black n Gold

Hi Friends, today to share with you all, I have one of my design's from my initial nail art days. Its a simple design with a little glitter here and a little gold there.
The technique used here is very simple. I started with two base coats of a black polish. Next, I did the tips in golden dots using a dotting tool. Finally, I applied gold glitter from the midpoint of the nail base towards the tip. After that I sealed it with a top coat.
The polishes used here are:
Black: Maybelline’s “Onyx Rush”
Gold : Revlon's "Golden"
Gold Glitter: Sephora by OPI's "Only Gold for Me"
Ring: Charlotte Russe

Floral : Coral Nails

Happy Friday, everyone. I recently discovered nail polishes at Charlotte Russe store. The unique thing about these polishes is that they don't have any names. These polishes are reasonably priced and you can find them 2 for $6.00 at most of the Charlotte Russe stores.
I have been looking for a coral nail polish for the longest time. And my search for it ended at Charlotte Russe when I fond this perfect shade of Coral. Immediately I had to try it and that too with an interesting nail design.
So here is my take on this polish. With some floral and my favorite polka dots, the outcome was very attractive.
Coral polish : Charlotte Russe.
White polish : Sally Hansen's Hard to Get.
Silver polish : Sally Hansen's Celeb City.

Floral : Daisies

Continuing with the Floral week, Today I have pretty daisies to share with you. Instead of doing all daisies on one nail, this time I tried only one daisy on a nail.
They didn't turn out to be as good as I expected them to be but nevertheless, a good design to share with you all.
For blue I used Wet n Wild's "I need a refresh-mint", for white Sally Hansen's "Hard to get" and for yellow, Sally Hansen's "Mellow Yellow".

Floral: Poppies

Hello friends, this week I am doing a floral week. What does this mean? It means I will be sharing floral nail art all week long on the blog. To start with I have a very cute poppy nail art to share with you all. The best thing about this nail design is I have used my favorite colors combo’s in it: Red, White and Black.
For red I used OPI’s "I'm Suzi & I'm a Chocoholic"
For white I used Sally Hansen’s "Hard To Get"
And for black I used Maybelline’s “Onyx Rush”
This turned out to be one of my favorite nail art’s, definitely on my “to be repeated” list. Hope you all like it as much as I do.

Indian Independence Day

Hi All, Today is August 15th, Indian Independence Day. So today's mani is inspired by Indian Flag Colors.
For Orange I used OPI's "On The Same Paige", for white I used SinfulColors Professional's "Snow Me White". and for green I used Sally Hansen's "Green with Envy".
In the Indian flag apart from above mentioned tri-colors, the middle panel bears at its centre the design of Ashoka Chakra in navy blue color. So keeping this in mind I added navy blue dots only on my left thumb finger.
Hope my fellow Indian's and nail art lovers like this nail design :) Happy Independence Day.

Mellow Yellow

Hello Friends, Happy Tuesday. Todays nail design is a tape mani. The technique used for this mani is really simple. For the base coat I used Sally Hansen's "Mellow Yellow". Then I took regular tape and using scissors, cut the tape in an uneven design. Then taping off my nail, I added Revlon's "Stormy". On the sides of stormy using a dotting tool, I added dots. That's it simple and easy. Not to mention, an eye catching color combo.

Leopard Nails

Hope you all are having a great weekend so far. Today's nail art is in my favorite print - leopard. I am sure you must have seen leopard nails on almost every nail art blog, its nothing new. But here is my take on them.
For the base coat I used Revlon's "Golden". On top of it I did some free hand leopard print using OPI's "Crepes Suzi-ette" and Maybelline's "Onyx Rush".
I couldn't resist taking a picture of my leopard mani with my leopard ring :)
Hope you all like it.

First Post

My first post is a nail art which i did few months ago. For the base coat I used SinfulColors Professional's "Snow Me White", which is a really white polish and it can make any nail art pop up. For the light pink I used Revlon's "Cupid" and for the pink polka dots I used Revlon's "Plum Seduction". The final result is something I really liked. I love all these polish shades and use them very frequently in all my manicures.
Enjoy!!!

A new beginning

Welcome to my blog! My name is Sony, I am from southern California and I love painting my nails. My love for nail polishes started when I was a little girl and loved painting my nails in different colors. About a year and half ago I discovered different techniques of nail art and since then I have experimented with lot of naildesigns. My family, friends and collegues love my nail art, so I decided to create this blog to share my own naildesigns and other things that interest me with all of you. Hope you'll enjoy it :)
