Coffee Swirls

If you are a coffee addict you would know that today is National Coffee Day. You are a coffee addict, and you didn't know it was National Coffee Day? Well never mind, you know that now ;) I decided to create some coffee related nail art for today. I decided to go with coffee swirls using dry marble technique. Something about this design reminds me of latte art. I used base as Zoya's Purity - my new white polish, I am already out of my last one. On that using Maybelline's Naturally Cream and Ulta's Little Black Dress, I created swirls using a toothpick. You can see my previous attempt at Drag marble HERE.

I recently got a Holo top coat from Bliss Polish and decided to try it out with my swirls. It is an amazing top coat which makes any polish or design holographic.

Lakme

I cannot believe it took me so long to write this post. I went to India at the end of 2014 and bought these beautiful Lakme brand polishes while I was there. I swatched them earlier last year but totally forgot to post the swatches (NOT sure how did that happen). So here are swatches of some of the pretty Lakme polishes that I bought in India. When I was little and lived in India, Lakme was the only trusted brand that we used for cosmetics but with changing times and a lot of foreign brands being available in the market, Lakme isn't the goto brand in India anymore. But I couldn't resist and buy some cute new polishes from Lakme. So here are the swatches.

Aqua Marine: This one is a cool blue shade with creme finish. The formula is easy to apply and for the pics below I used 2 coats. This one is my favorite of the lot.

Purple Plunge: This one is mauve purple polish with glitter like finish. I used 2 coats for the pics below.

Blue Sapphire: This one is a royal blue polish with smooth finish. I royal blue color is amazing and I used 2 coats for the pics below.

Purple Lust: This one is a deep violet shade with smooth finish and I used 2 coats for the pics below.

What do you think of this exotic polishes? I love trying and reviewing new brands for my blog and swatching one of my old favorite brand was so much fun.

Lavish Polish

Hello Lovelies, I have a new Indie Brand to share with you all. Lavish Polish. I came across them at the Indie Shop Event and found there polishes very interesting. Lavish is "5 FREE" which means it does not contain the following 5 ingredients which are known for being toxic - toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and DBP. Back in May they had come out with there Summer 2016 collection and I couldn't help but pick this beautiful pink glitter polish from them called Pink Lemonade. Pink Lemonade is a pale pink polish with a fun mix of different matte neon dot glitters. I fell in love with shade when I first laid my eyes on it and bought it right away. Can't believe though it took me so long to share the swatch. It kinda reminds me of cotton candy with colorful sprinkles :) For the pictures below I used 2 coats of the polish and loved how it made my fingers look long and elegant.

Nail Care: Burt's Bees

Hello Friend's, today I am sharing some product information about nail care. I am often asked by friends, family and colleagues about nail care and what they really mean by nail care is cuticle care. So today I decided to share about my favorite and trusted cuticle product. One of my most used product to keep my cuticles from drying is Burt's Bees cuticle cream. This cream helps to keep cuticles smooth and nourished for a long time. It's a bit greasy on application but you need to massage it in on your cuticles and around your nails in order for it to sink in. The packaging is very cute and its tiny size makes it very easy to carry it around. But don't be fooled by its tiny size. It took me almost a year to finish this tiny box and buy a new one. As it says on the box, the flavor is lemon and it smells the same, very lemony. Among all the other products I tried for cuticles - Lush, Sally Hansen, etc, this one is the one that I found very effective. Hope you find this product review helpful and if you have any questions let me know in the comments section below.

Watermelon Nails

Hello Lovelies. Hope you all had a great long weekend. A much awaited break I must say. Today I have another3D nail art using 3D stickers from Dimension Nails . As I mentioned in my previous post, I received 3 different styles from them: Castle Rock, Gum Drop and Notorious. These are long rubber like white stickers in different 3D shapes. Because of the material it becomes easy to cut them and make any shapes out of them which you want. For the pictures below, I used Notorious to create watermelon slices for my nails. I cut the 3D stickers and painted them using nail polish to look like watermelon slices, before applying it to my nails. The rest of the design I did free-hand. You can see my previous nail art design and read my preview on the 3D nail art stickers HERE.
