Valentines Series: Pink and Bold

Hi all January is coming to an end and soon it will be 14th February. So today I am sharing with you all my first Valentines Day manicure. I did this nail art last year hence lack of better pictures.

The polishes that I have used are Revlon's Cupid and OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark. I don't have much to say about this nailart, except that I like how both these polishes look so good together.

Hope you all like it and stay tuned for more Valentine's Day nail art ideas.

Orange Creme

Hi all, you remember me talking about the Charolotte Russe polishes before, and how they don't have any names. So today I am sharing another such beautiful polish from Charlotte Russe and I like to call this polish as Orange Creme, coz it reminds me on Orange Creme popsicle. I love this shade, its so soothing and lovely at the same time. Instead of just doing a simple swatch, I decided to add some fun french tips to it.

Skittle Leopard Print

Hi all, the manicure I am sharing with you all today is the last nail art I did for the year 2013. I had a lot going on and hence wanted to do a quick nail art for the rest of the break. I remembered admiring the rainbow leopard nail art by Chalkboard Nails a while ago and hence decided to recreate it on my nails. Not only is this manicure colorful and eye-catching, I got a lot of compliments from strangers and sales associates for this one.

The polishes that I have used are:

Red - Chanel's Dragon
Orange - OPI's On the Same Paige
Yellow - Zoya's Darcy
Green - Sally Hansen's Green with Envy
Blue - Sally Hansen's Blue Me Away

Maybelline ColorShow Street Art

If you follow me on Instagram you probably already saw me eyeing the new Maybelline New York's Color Show Street Art Collection. Of course I couldn't just stop there and bought one from the collection which caught my eye - GREEN GRAFFITI. This is a beautiful collection I must say, an addition to the polka dot collection that came out a while ago.

So I did a quick swatch for all of you to see how it looks. Instead of applying this polish on the usual black and white polishes (on which this polish would be hard to see since it contains black and white glitter), I applied it on the beautiful maroon polish called GET IT ON from Sinfulcolors. You can see it's swatch here.

When applying the polish spreads well and it isn't hard to get the glitter out of the bottle (which is usually the case with some glitter polishes). The glitter, as you can see in some of the pics, consists of bold and small hex and bar glitter of colors, black, white and green.

The collection has some other awesome glitter polishes as well and you can find this in your nearest drug store.

An unusual combo

Hi All, Today I am sharing with you all a nail art which is formed by the use of two very unusual nail polish colors. The reason I say this is because I have never seen these two colors used together, in a nailart before. I recently went shopping at Walgreens and ended up buying some very pretty shades of Sinful Colors Professional's polishes. The maroon one is called GET IT ON and is from there new (read last year) Leather Luxe collection. You can see its swatch here. The Blue one is called Alfresco and is from there SinfulShine collection. (SinfulShine is a high gloss, high shine nail polish collection with gel tech formula that gives the same shine gloss as an acrylic UV cured gel without the lamp.)

The polishes that I have used are all from SinfulColor's. White is Snow Me White, Blue is Alfresco and Maroon is Get It On.

For this design I started by applying the white polish first and then using the blue polish created four dots together using a dotting tool, to create the pattern in the middle fingers. Then repeated it with maroon polish as well to form the above pattern. It was pretty easy. If you would like a tutorial of the design above, let me know in the comments section below :)

And of course I had to take a picture with my signature hand pose. From now on let's call it the Nails Context Signature Pose. You can see it here, here and here.

SinfulColors Professional Leather Luxe collection

You remember me long time ago talking about the SinfulColors Professional's Leather Luxe Collection. It came out late last year and I got one polish called GET IT ON from this collection, but never got around about doing its swatch. So here it is the swatch of GET IT ON.

GET IT ON is a pretty cranberry colored maroon polish which is MATTE in nature. All the polish's in the Leather Luxe Collection are matte polish's. In order to make them glossy you can always add the top coat to it.

I don't own a lot of matte nail polish's as I have a matte top coat which can give any nail polish matte effect. But I definitely love this color and it's effect. So if you would like to try matte polishes, try one from this collection. You can find these polishes in Walgreens and Walmart.

Pastel Retro Colorblock

Hi All, today I am sharing with you all another retro colorblock nail art which I did with pastel color's this time. You can see the previous retro colorblock look here.

The polishes that I have used are - Sally Hansen's Green with Envy, Revlon's Cupid, Revlon's Lily and Charlotte Russe's orange cream color.

Hope you like it and if you do let me know in the comments section below :)

Tribal Nail Art

You remember my first tribal nail art and how I didn't like it a bit. So this time I decided to give it another try and with some different design. I think this one came out better than the previous one.

For base coat I used Essence polish called "Miss Universe". You can see the swatch of this polish here. On that using the nail polish brush itself I did a broad line with Maybelline's Black Onyx. On top of that using a thin nail art brush I created the white design using SinfulColor's Snow Me White.

Here are some pics before I added the dots to the design -

I think I like it better with the dots instead of without the dots. Which one do you like? Let me know in the comments section below :)

Green Floral Nails

I love floral nail designs and they always come out looking pretty :) I recently found an old green hairband from my high school days with pretty white and yellow flowers on it. Immediately I thought this would make a cute nail art design and Voilà.

The polishes that I have used are all Sally Hansen polishes - Hard To Get, Mellow Yellow and Green with Envy.

Hope you like it :)
