Coral and Beige

I decided to wear this dress again for a party and wanted to paint my nails to match my dress. This nail art is what I came up with to match the shaded part of my dress and gold dots and circles (Scroll all the way to the end to see the fabric). I used Maybelline's Naturally Cream (see the swatch here) and Charlotte Russe's Coral Nail polish.

Cherry Blossom

I have seen a lot of Cherry Blossom nail art flowing around on the Internet and Social Media. I always wanted to try it out but decided to give it a try with some different colors instead of the usual pink and white. So here it is my Cherry Blossom Nail Art. Hope you all like it.

Lace Water Decals

You must remember me reviewing the some Water Decals from BornPrettyStore a few days ago. If you don't you can see that post here, here and here. So today I am sharing another water nail decal from BornPrettyStore and this one is lace pattern. I wasn't provided these for review purposes, I bought them on my own a few days ago. You can visit the store's website here and find the decals used by me here, product no. 6209. Get 10% OFF on your order by using the code QANX31 at checkout.

I was wearing a Orange and White lace outfit for a recent festival and decided to use these decals to match my outfit. To apply these water decals is really easy. You have to follow the instructions on the back of the package. First apply the nail polish that you want as the background and let it dry completely (I used Butter London's Silly Billy). Then cut out each design you want to apply on each nail. Then one nail at a time, I put one cutout in a cup of water and let it soak for 10-15 seconds, after which the decal design came out by itself. Then I carefully applied it to the nail and let it stick and dry completely. I sealed it with my favorite top coat. Then repeated the process for rest of the nails. These decals are available on BornPrettystore website for just $0.99 , Product no. 6209. It takes them almost 3-4 weeks to reach to you which isn't bad for the money you pay for these beautiful pieces. Don't forget to use coupon code QANX31 at checkout, to receive 10% OFF your purchase.

Blu

You all remember me swatching the Zoya Blue nail polish before. So I decided to create a beautiful nail art with it. The pattern below I did is free-hand using a thin nail art brush. Just added some white, black and silver glitter to it. Hope you like it. To see Zoya Blu's swatch, click HERE.

Zoya Blu

While browsing through a beauty supply store recently, I came across Zoya's BLU and instantly fell in love with this shade. So much that I wore this shade by itself (no nail art on it) for 2 days ( I even got comments from guys asking what was wrong with me and I wasn't allowed to have plain nail polish ...ha ha ha ...some colleagues, I tell you ;)

Coming back to this lovely polish, it was launched back in 2013 in Zoya's Spring 2013 Collection called the Lovely Collection. Blu is a pale baby blue creme shade which requires 2 coats of polish to achieve the results below. It takes a bit longer than normal polishes to dry but you can always use a fast dry top coat on it for faster dry time. I love this shade and it has instantly become on of my favorite blues in my collection. It is also a perfect shade to wear this winter. Hope you all like the swatch too.

If you would like to purchase this Nail Polish online, you can buy it here or here.

Travelogue: Big Sur, California

So my first post on travel received a lot of praise. Everyone loved hearing about my vacation and enjoyed the pictures so much that I decided to create another travel related post on my blog. A little distraction from my nails. You can see my previous and first post in the Travelogue series here.

This time the destination is Big Sur in Central California. I have lived in California for almost 2 years now and have never been to Big Sur before. I have heard about its beauty and scenic drive along the coast so much that I decided it will be our next destination for travel.

I cannot even being to describe how beautiful Big Sur is. The scenic drive along on California State Route 1 along the Pacific Coast is breathtaking. Beautiful spots and turnouts for pictures gives you ample photo opportunity. The name "Big Sur" is derived from the original Spanish-language "el sur grande", meaning "the big south", or from "el país grande del sur", "the big country of the south". Enough talking already? So now time for some pictures. Hope you like them.

Pac-Man Nails

For this Halloween, we had a group costume contest at work. We decided to be PAC-MAN and Ghosts for this contest with some work related creativity infused in it. (If you are not familiar with what PAC-MAN is read about it here) How could I pass an opportunity to do my nails in a new theme so I created Pac-Man nails the night before the contest and came up with these. Not only we participated as a group we also won the "WACKIEST Costume" award. It was lot of fun even making the costumes as well, they are all home made BTW. We got round table clothes and created the ghost costumes out of it.

Here is a picture of our group in the costumes. I was dressed as one of the Ghosts, can you guess which one am I?
