Think PINK

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month aka PINKTOBER and thats what today's nail art is all about. 2 days ago we celebrated PINK OUT at work and everyone wore PINK to work. Before leaving for work that day, I decided to paint my nails as well, to show my support and painted this design without any pre-planning in flat 5 minutes (Thank God for fast drying top coat in our lives). Hope you all love it and wear pink to show your support as well. To see some other PINK nails click HERE.

Halloween Series: Have a faBOOlous Halloween

Hello Friends, with Halloween just a few days away, I am trying something new for Halloween - Quatrefoil pattern, Halloween style. You remember me trying the Quatrefoil pattern before, if you dont you can check it out HERE, HERE and HERE. To create this 3-color look I used 3 polishes from Butter London - Union Jack Black, Cotton Buds and Silly Billy. The Quatrefoil pattern, I did free hand using a dotting tool (Read this to learn how) and the stripes I created using staight nail vinyls from Storenvy. Hope you all have a faBOOlous HALLOWEEN this year and enjoyed all my Halloween themed nail designs.

Halloween Series: Dancing in the Woods

Another Halloween mani is here... this time I have created a scene of a witch dancing in the woods under moon light. It turned out to be an interesting scene. I did the whole thing free-hand using different nail polishes (no acrylic paints - I do not understand why someone would use acrylic paints on their nails, when they are clearly designed to be used on a canvas) To see some of my previous witch nail art designs click HERE and HERE.

Halloween Series: Halloween Camouflage Nail Art and my first Video tutorial

Hello Friend's, todays post is very special (scroll all the way below to see why). The nail art you see here is inspired by the very popular Camouflage print. Instead of doing the regular military prints, I decided to create it with HALLOWEEN colors. I used Charlotte Russe's unnamed peach color polish, Butter London's Silly Billy, Formula X's Dark Matter and NY&Co's Mauve Maven. To see my previous camouflage nails click HERE.

Also with this post let me introduce you to something brand new on this blog - VIDEO TUTORIALS !!!! A lot of people have asked me for video tutorials for my nail art designs. So I finally decided to start my very own YouTube channel - Nails Context. To subscribe to it, click HERE

Nailed-IT: Double Feature

So it was just another boring Sunday with grocery shopping at the neighborhood grocery store and I spotted the latest Nov/Dec 2015 issue of NailIt Magazine. Just for the heck of it I started browsing it and what do I see? Not one BUT TWO of my nail art designs starting right back at me. I was so excited, started jumping, not caring if the fellow shoppers thought I had gone crazy ;) Here are my two Christmas nail art designs that got featured in the magazine. This is the fifth time my nail art is featured in the NailIt magazine. To see the last featured click HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE. To see my nail art featured on their website, click HERE, HERE and HERE.

Halloween Series: Creepy Crawlers

Hello Lovelies, Are you gals and guys enjoying my Halloween Nail Art designs so far? As I have mentioned before, I am not into any gruesome, bloody and scary Halloween decorations and this does reflect in my nail designs as well. So here is my take on Halloween Spiders. Though I titled this post creepy crawlers, there is nothing creepy about them, in fact they are not even in regular Halloween colors. I decided to experiment with something totally different here and hope you all like the outcome. Enjoy!!!

Halloween Series: Jack-O-Lantern

Hello Lovlies, today's Halloween nail art is a cute/scary design of multiple Jack-O-Lantern faces. The base polish I used a no-name Halloween polish that I found in the local pharmacy. The cute bottle was convincing enough for me to buy this polish. Its a neon-ish matte orange shade on which using Formula X's Dark Matter, I painted the black Jack-O-Lantern faces. Hope you all like this simple nail art.

Halloween Series: Pumpkin Vines

Hello my lovely followers out there. Today's nail art is a very Halloween-y Pumpkin Vines design. There are a lot of elements used in this nail art - decals, glitter, free-hand painting, etc, etc. I started by applying a black base coat - I used Formula X's Dark Matter (BTW if you EVER read my blog posts, apart from staring at the pictures, this is my new goto BLACK polish). After that using a thin nail art brush I free-handed the green vines using Butter London's Jaded Jack. Then I added some light green glitter on top of the vines. After that I used Halloween water decals from BornPrettyStore on top of the vines. You can read my review of these decals HERE. ALSO, visit the store's website here and find the decals used by me HERE for $2.86, Product # 8679. Get 10% OFF on your order by using the code QANX31 at checkout. Hope you all love this new Halloween themed nail art. I love how it turned out.
